A Detailed Consideration Process

Adams Street Partners’ Direct Investment Team invests in U.S.-based private venture and growth oriented companies in the technology, life sciences, and business services sectors that are seeking capital to develop and commercialize their products or services. The companies in which we invest usually have $0-20 million in revenue. We do not require companies to have been previously funded by professional investors nor to be profitable at the time of our investment. We typically lead and price financing rounds and usually invest $5-20 million over the life of a portfolio company. We are currently investing from a $700 million pool of capital.

Our investment decision making process can range from 4 weeks to a few months, commencing with a review of an executive summary and a call or meeting with management, followed by a due diligence process, and then culminating in a presentation to our partnership.
